THERE IS SOMEONE IN MY BODY WITHOUT A HEART

A very short Twine game wherein you make a poem.

So I was sitting late at night with that creative itch where I just needed to make something.  I had just finished playing some Tux and Fanny (awesome game on the Nintendo Switch and a super cool web-series on YouTube, you should check it out) earlier in the day, and I kept thinking back to the line in the game "there is someone in my body without a heart." I don't know exactly why that line resounded with me so much, but I couldn't get it out of my head, so I made something with it.

I've had so much creative blockage lately, and today I realized that a lot of that stems from my fear of inadequacy. By being afraid that I'll make something bad, I'm preventing myself from making anything, not to mention making anything good. I know that this game isn't great and that the poems are mediocre; I haven't coded in years and I hardly write anything anymore, and I made this in the short span of a couple late-night half-delirious hours; but it honestly just felt really good to create again. This game is my way of finally getting past that creative blockage. Thanks for playing it.

Side Note: there's supposed to be ambient audio but it doesn't seem to be working, so just imagine cool music & nature sounds in the background.
